Replacing A Gas Control Valve And Pilot Assembly On A Gas Water Heater
I would've charged 60 dollars just to turn water of
300 is nuts! that a 50 dollar job done with a pair of channel locks!
I get paid 65$ an hour plus commission and bonuses and spiffs on sale. Most guys at my shop including myself break 170k a year
Poor Groot!
Are your thumbs double jointed??
500
5-550
25 years in service, never seen one.
Ayo face reveal?
I think that’s not a real test because the water inside the tank would slow the rod down those are just my personal thoughts
Perfect
Nice work! Definitely beyond my skill set
And now? Doesn’t it grow back?
Eh I pour small amounts of hot grease down the pipes followed by hot water. Its fine.
Never run out of gloves lol i actually just pulled on of those out yesterday it was a 5 footer ended up cutting out abs flange and gluing in a new one a got lucky
Because toilets had a small separate room called a water closet in good old Great Britain. Called a WC over there. I've seen WC on blue prints before.
Plumbers, one of the few trades that wash their hands before the use the restroom
Did you check to see if the copper was being used as a Ground connection? if it was being used as ground then you need to ensure the electrical panels are regrounded to a ground bar. While there is water in the pex it works as ground until the line is dry.
You removed the metal male pipe thread into female plastic thread, that’s worth $300 by itself. ❤ Integrity is worth top dollar!🫶
Root turdhammers?!? It’s too much. Too boo coo
Watch you tube, do it myself...... Free plus 45$ for part...
🎉 great tools make for great work ... Awesome work guys 👍
Plumbers should make $50 an hour. Cause I'm a plumber
When I moved back in with my grandmother, I had to dig up and clean out 12ft of pipe that was 100% clogged with grease, even backed up into the house into the sink in the second house. Turned out when my uncle was still alive, at some point, the hot water stopped working but they continued to pour it down the drain. Even my 86 year old grand mother still hot waters it down the drain. I am constantly having to remind her to poor it into the grease jar I bought her and ill dump in properly.
Oooo I pulled out a horsetail like this a couple months back! Apparently a plumber had been out 4 years ago and cut a 2" hole in it instead of removing it. It was a miracle anything was getting through. So glad the roots weren't coming from inside the pipe... Very satisfying to yank that sucker out! ☺️
Ha. Just posted the same video kinda! Dam roots
Ah, bio film. I had a sprinkler not working. I dug up the line and actually cut the pipe thrn turned pn the water and nothing. Not a drop of water. Ended up removing a tem foot section of pipe and fond it clogged with bio film. To be honest i never heard of it before. My wife is a biology major and told me what that green slim was. I think vinegar might help with my sprinklers too.
🤦🏻♂️
Eh who needs gloves anyways 😅
Sorry, not sorry. plumbers and electricians are way overpaid. Skills like that should be coming out of high schoolers. Most work like this wouldn't be affordable for most people.
Here is the fact . Roots got into the rain line there is a serious issue.
That’s the second time in my whole life I’ve seen roots grow into a toilet woop 🙌
What if the pipe inside the wall is leaking, so not just the bib needs replacing? How much then?
What did the owner eat?!
800
what about a vinegar flush? drain the water heater, best done in summer. pour vinegar in the top, about 4 gallons. let vinegar sit for 12 hours or so. drain the vinegar. then fill water heater back with water.
Thats just dumb hell there is a damn shut off valve upstream of meter .
You risk being fined here if you use it as a homeowner. They are required to have their own shutoff and not use the water providers curb stop,
@@theplumbersplunger well now i know there are some crazy laws
Bro got the everything bagel gloves
Not the same as the shiny gold, I feel like the shiny gold is way better.
Nice trim work...
Sometimes you just gotta get things done without gloves.
You didn’t fix the problem where did the roots come from
I said it in the video. The roots grew up from around the outside of the pipe, through the gap in the concrete, and back down into the drain. I ran a camera and there were no breaks or separations.
@@theplumbersplunger Yep, they're not coming from inside the pipe, they grow up the outside through the concrete and wriggle their way into the flange and down
The advice against appliances purchased at box stores is nonsense... the use of pex for is a worse crime, and substituting gas shut off for a finger over pipe is moronic
Pro Tip from a fourty year master plumber. Get rid of all "garbage disposers". All they do is hasten the drain clogging. The are also not environmentally friendly. They use more water which has to be treated at the sewer plant with more chemicals. All of that sewage ends up being trucked to landfills. Clean your plates into the garbage can. Then, just strain out the residual food waste with the sink strainer and throw it in the garbage. Then it gets trucked to the same landfill as what would have gone down the disposal. Pour any grease into a container and throw it in the garage. I cleaned the drains in my first house once. Twenty years later I replaced the kitchen drains during a remodel. Cleanest drains I've ever seen in old galvanized pipes. No build up. Twenty years in my current house and zero backups so far.
Wow
Cool video. Didn't know vega made class b pex. Pretty impressed to see that. class A is much stronger and made to expand so that would be a good video to have them pressurized and frozen! I been plumbing for over 20 years class B pex is the only one I see fail as it tends to split length wise as it ages. Also the crimp rings tend to loosen over time. I prefer Uponor but now there are many brands like uponor that hold up just as good with the warranty.
You’re a beast good work
I didn’t see any grease
Small root.
Ok 😂
you also have to break your back day in and day out
